18 April I'm in the News!Nah, I'm not on news because I am famous or I so happen to commit a crime. It is my dear friend the dreamer who wrote an article into The Sun, and I am one of her superheroes. Huh, you say? Click and read it then!
11 April Ze EndSo this marks the end of my adventure of life’s lesson from A-Z. Well, needless to say, I have indeed learned a lot throughout this entire course. Not through my blog of course, but through this eventful part of my life.
I have learned a lot of things, changed a lot of views and had adapted myself to it. Some might call it changing. Some call it adapting. Some might call it maturing. In any way, I had indeed changed, adapted and hopefully matured.
There are things now that I used to do that I would not do again. There are views now that I used to have that I would not see that way again. There are principles that I used to have that I would not hold again. Alongside, I have adopted new way of doing things, new way of seeing things and also new principles to hold on to.
I hope that whoever I had became now is, if not the best, hopefully for the better. 28 March Your view about MEHey click HERE and have a look at what I think about myself. But of course, you must let me know what you think about me too,
Help me out in this self assessment alright? Would really like to know your view about ME 17 March Xtraordinary CousinRead about my dearest dreamer friend’s post on how ‘little things’ in life reminds us of big and significant things. Quoted from her:
Then later we chatted on MSN, and I just mentioned about one close one that had left me, it was my cousin, K, which died of leukemia many years ago.
There would be many little things in this world that would remind me of him. He was a really good cousin brother, despite that age when most cousin brothers would be bullying you or shun you as a little girl away. That time, he was always around to find our other cousin next door, and he would come over and invite me to join in their games.
It was him who introduced Dragonball to me; it was him who got me hooked on those comics. I would keep on bugging my other cousin for the latest comics, cause he was the one buying it every week. I remember the anticipation, and the joy to know the edition is finally out, but the eagerness as to wait for my cousin to finish it first.
It was K who asked me to join in their dungeon and dragons game. It was him who taught me what it was all about. He encouraged me to think of a character of my own, but I was dumb-strucked as I wasn’t exposed to all these yet. At that time I haven’t been a fantasy fan like now yet. It was him who came up with a wonderful character for me. I still remembered vividly, my character is a lady, whose power is in singing. My weapons are the songs. He encouraged me to think of songs that can be used. I still remember his ingenious idea on the song ‘smoke gets in your eyes’. You get the idea what kind of weapon is that. Sadly, we never really got to start the game.
Yeap, he was diagnosed with leukemia and he was home-bound. The rest was too sad to write about. At that time, to me it was a complete waste. He was nice, genuinely kind, and to top it off, he was a genius. He was top in his school all the way, acing everything. He got all sorts of awards. He was Xtraordinary. To me, he was the most promising guy to be.
But now this time, to me it was not a waste anymore. Be it because God decided to have him back early, or be it that it was his karma and this is when he had to move on, this is how it had been and I accepted that. I hope that wherever he is, in heaven or in his new life, he had finally found a place he can be in and enjoy. 14 March What it means to be a ChineseThis came in my mail by a friend.
